VHI Healthcare Benefit Changes 01.07.2021

Vhi Healthcare are introducing the following benefit changes as of 01.07.2021

SwiftCare MIU benefit eligible for use in Galway Clinic Emergency Department;

On selected plans, effective from 1st July 2021 the Vhi SwiftCare MIU benefit will be eligible for use in the Galway Clinic Emergency Department. The existing treatments covered under the SwiftCare MIU benefit will be covered in the Galway Clinic emergency department.
All members on the applicable plans will receive the change straightaway regardless of renewal date

Psychologist benefit

The existing 'Clinical Psychologist' definition has been amended making the benefit more accessible for members. The new definition will cover a ‘Psychologist’ who is a chartered member of the Psychological Society of Ireland for at least one of following disciplines - clinical, counselling, educational or psychotherapy.
The term ‘Clinical’ has been removed from this benefit in the Rule books and the Table of Benefits.
