Laya Healthcare announce price and benefit changes – 1 October 2023

Price changes

On 1 October 2023, Laya Healthcare will make price changes to 94 plans.

Benefit changes

On 1 October 2023, Laya Healthcare will make the following benefit changes:

1. 117 plans will have the EU Treatment Guarantee benefit removed. For full details, download the Benefit Changes by Scheme file at the end of this page.
2. 53 plans will have a reduction or removal of excess in Non-Hospital Surgical Centres. This will apply immediately for all members on these plans. For full details, download the Benefit Changes by Scheme file at the end of this page.
3. The Eyebrow Tattooing benefit will be renamed to ‘Medical Tattooing’ and a rule change will apply to 117 plans. For full details, download the Rule Change October 23 file at the end of this page.
4. Total Health Plus will have the following changes in addition to the above:
   1. Embryo freezing will be included in the Fertility Preservation Benefit.
   2. A Pre-Implantation Genetic Testing Benefit will be included.
   3. Occupational therapy will no longer be limited to five visits and a separate assessment.
   4. Speech and language therapy will no longer be limited to eight visits and a separate assessment.
